This is a renovation job we did in the neighbourhood of Beverly. To begin we laid a waterproofing Schluter-Kerdi Membrane using Premium Plus Mortar. After laying the membrane we used Premium Plus Mortar again to lay the 3×6 subway tile in a 50/50 brick lay pattern. This tub surround also extends out into the vanity. Our tile setter ensured that the layout would come up to the vanity with a full tile so that the tub surround and the splash is a consistent, whole unit. As well, the clients asked for a 6″ mosaic tile insert to be installed in the tub surround. To finish we installed a mosaic tile on the bathroom floor using Versabond Thin-Set Mortar. This job was then grouted using a high performance, stain resistant Prism Grout.
